One of Shakespeare’s early works and the first of his Roman plays. Hold onto your hats, because this play is a young playwright looking to make a splash. A bloody one. Absolutely bursting with youthful exuberance, this play is bold, brave and brilliant. It looks at the relationship between family and state, love, revenge, honour, art and, as ever in Shakespeare, gender politics.

We will read TITUS ANDRONICUS in a cosy flat in Stoke Newington and then go to THE HAMPSTEAD THEATRE to see the London transfer of MAX WEBSTER’S production, starring the inimitable SIMON RUSSEL BEALE, is going to be extraordinary.
