It’s our great pleasure to be the Official Education Partner for Simon Godwin’s production of Macbeth, starring Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma.

Ralph Fiennes felt passionately that he wanted this production of Macbeth to really reach out to young people and be a force for good in their education. So Friends with Shakespeare created the education programme with the view to inspire, educate and build confidence in students up and down the country. To help them become friends with Shakespeare - if you will!

The programme includes tickets to see the show, a detailed and accessible education pack for all students and fabulous interactive workshops run by Claire Cartwright with Ralph, Indira and other members of the cast.

These workshops run in Liverpool, Edinburgh and London and invite students from some of the most underprivileged schools in the UK to come and explore the text in fun and imaginative ways with the world’s best actors.

We also run Shakespeare courses for the public. Not in schools, but in the comfort of homes (in person and online) with wine and nibbles. Our first course in Jan 2024 will be fore this very production of Macbeth. Come and make friends!
