READ SHAKESPEARE WITH FRIENDS VIA ZOOM

If we have learnt anything recently, it’s that we need to connect with other people! Shakespeare’s work is about relationships and how human beings interact. It is about love, fear, changing worlds, family, friendship, ambition, isolation and much more. We are social animals and here at FWS we want to bring people together from all corners of the earth.

HOW IT WORKS

You will be invited to join a ZOOM video conference by Friends with Shakespeare (don’t worry, we will send you detailed instructions if this is something you’re not familiar with!). Join up and read a Shakespeare play with a group of friends in the comfort (and safety) of your own home.

  • 5-8 people per group.

  • Usually 1 night a week for 5 weeks

  • 5 x 2 hour get-togethers; one Act per session

  • Recap notes sent after every reading session

  • We all watch a production of the play (either a movie or a recorded theatrical production) online

  • We get together one final time to discuss the production

You can either gather together a group of friends and family or you can sign up as an individual, in the same way the FWS groups usually work.

There is absolute flexibility around these courses. They are designed to work around you. We would recommend the standard 5 x 2hr reading sessions, but if you and your group would prefer more or less time then that is absolutely fine.

Standard online course - £175
